Models with a BMI (Body Mass Index) measurement below 18 were banned from Madrid catwalks in 2006 after the death of a Luisel Ramos.
Ramos died of cardiac arrest shortly after stepping off a catwalk in Uruguay. According to reports she had been eating nothing but green leaves washed down with diet coke for three months prior to the show.
Shortly afterwards, her sister, Eliana Ramos died of similar heart complications brought on by starvation.

that woman in the video is in total denial: "noone is telling these girls they have to be that thin!" Of course they are - if you are telling girls that the clothes are the standard of beauty they must live by, then you are also telling them the same thing about the models who are wearing the clothes.
